PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. Platelets contain hundreds of proteins called growth factors which have healing powers. By adding calcium to PRP a gel matrix is formed which suspends the platelets in their activated state at the injection site for an extended period of time, this is PRFM (Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix)

PRP Therapy is the most exciting new advancement in the treatment of hair loss. PRP has been found to improve hair health and regrow hair. PRP can be effective in the treatment for women or men who have experienced receding hair lines/ thinning hair in the last few years.

How does it work?

As we age, our skin has less collagen and low elasticity. There is a reduction of hyaluronic acid and low ability to retain moisture. Once the PRP is injected, cell growth is activated and collagen begins to produce. This allows for regeneration and rejuvenation of the skin tissue.
